River City Futsal is set to launch its 2021 campaign on the front foot with a brand new female futsal program.
After a highly successful initial six months, River City Futsal (RCF) has set its sights on becoming one of the leading female futsal programs in Queensland.
The program will concentrate on junior player development, offering female players the opportunity to train in tailored 'girls only' programs, which are focused on developing the female game.
On the launch of the new program, club General Manager, Mitch Sciacca, said: "Our aim is to not only increase the female participation rate in futsal, but to also provide female players with an environment suitable for them to develop as futsal players."
"We also aim to provide our female players with unique pathways to the world of futsal through our growing international network."
The River City Futsal Female Program has been built upon the philosophy and game model used by partner club and 20-time USA National Champion, Gamer Futsal School. The River City Futsal Female Program is also being supported by USA Women's National Team Head Coach, Roxy Kamal.
RCF has opened expressions of interest for any female players aged 7+ interested in joining the Female Futsal Program. The program will commence in late February 2021 and sessions will be held at the club's state-of-the-art training facility, Mansfield Sports Centre.
