A couple of new faces will take the court for their first competitive games as River City Futsal kick off their 2021 season this weekend in the Southern Cross Futsal League Series 2.
Following a range of new signings bolstering the squad, two will link up with their new teammates.
Speaking to rivercityfutsal.com, club Head Coach, Daniel Sciacca, commented ‘Following a moderately successful Series 1, we will be taking a fairly young squad with an average age of just over 17 years old. As a club we believe putting these players into this environment will be extremely important for their transition into senior futsal.”
'I am excited to see their development over the next few months!' Sciacca continued.
The team will be coached by club U20 Head Coach, Brad French, and managed by fellow first-team staff member, Jacob Martin.
The team will kick off their season this Sunday against West End Futsal at 9am and East Coast Futsal at 12pm. Both matches will be hosted at Yeronga Park Fitness Centre.
