During the last week, five of our brightest junior players travelled to Melbourne to represent Queensland at the Football Australia National Futsal Championships.
Toby Smith and Sachin Prasad lead the club at Youth (U19) Level, where the team progressed to the semi finals before narrowly being knocked out. Both players played a significant part in the teams progression to the play-offs.
In the U16's Lachlan Hatzioannou, flew the RCF flag with a number of solid performances on the team's way to winning the National Championship.
Mitch Smith from our U12 Boys was a part of the squad to win another National Championship for the Sunshine State. Mitch created a strong impact for the squad coming off the bench in most of the games.
From our female program, Myah Smallshaw and Fernanda McLaren were selected in the U13 girls team. Both players had strong impacts in the teams journey to the final where they lost on penalties.
We look forward to further RCF player getting selected in the state teams in future years.
