Both our F-League Men’s and Women’s sides picked up three points in our final double header of the 2025 season. Our high amount of subs in both fixtures proved to be the difference on a scorching morning at Anna Meares Velodrome.
Opening the morning was our women’s team playing their final fixture of 2025. We dominated the game from the first whistle, with Shubreet Sran adding to her season tally in the opening possession of the game.
We continued to create chance after chance in the first half, consistently being denied by the Ipswich goalkeeper. We managed to add another twice, both through Sran to enter the break at 3-0.
The second half continued the same as the first half, with us creating chances consistently. Our fourth of the day was added through Eilish Mairhofer with a classy lob of the goalkeeper from the left flank. Bree Rafferty added the fifth moments later.
With five minutes to go, Ipswich opted to playing the power play where the snatched back two goals. Our morning closed off with Maia Watt pinching the ball during a power play possession and scoring the full length of the court.

Both sides traded chances, and failure to be clinical found Ipswich level the game just before the 10th minute.
Our possessions failed to convert again, leading to Ipswich taking the lead following a thunderous strike into the roof of the net. We replied quickly just shy of half time through a cut back finish by Reece Morgan.
The second half started the same as the first half creating several chances, this time being rewarded with two goals through Matt Joubert and Jaylen Vaughan.
Ipswich pulled one back in the 30th minute. With time ticking and their season on the line, Ipswich opted for the power play tactic in the final five minutes, failing to produce many chances, conceding another four goals, including two from Lopez, another from Joubert and a full court goal from Aparicio.
